Brittany Crawford - Gastonia

So I've known Brittany for roughly two years I believe and asked her to do a portfolio photoshoot for me. She did a great job and I was pleased with the outcome of her shoot. We went uptown to the older side of Gastonia last Friday for this shoot. Roughly in the same area as Laurel's shoot.

Portfolio Bridals

I'm currently wrapping up my wedding sample book. Brittany Garmon and Samantha Black reponded to the post on facebook that if I found them a dress, they would do a bridal shoot. So I accepted the challenge and made it happen. Brittany's dress is actually a yellow prom dress of mine from my sophomore year that I tested in black and white and it looked as if it were white. Samantha's dress, however, I found on a sale rack at Dillards at an unbelieveable price (worth my investment) and it was the perfect fit. Both girls looked stunning in the dresses I came up with and I want to thank them so much for helping out. Here are some of my favorites from each shoot....

Drew and Kelly

Still working on my portfolio (with only a few weeks left!!) I asked some old friends Drew and Kelly if they would pose for some pictures. They both agreed, and we set off to Lincolnton where both are from even though I had originially met them at Campbell University. It was a hot and muggy Sunday afternoon but both were good sports and we found some nice locations to shoot in.

Senior Portraits

I am currently taking appointments for anyone who will be an upcoming graduate in 2010 for senior portraits. Contact me through email (jessrudisillphotography@yahoo.com) or by phone 980-241-0075 for details and package information.

We Love Pink - Photoshoot with Laurel

I was out in Gastonia looking for a frame for one of my main pictures for my portfolio last Thursday and noticed this interesting looking giffanti on the back of a building in the Franklin Square area. I knew I had to get a model in front of the wall because it was pink and those who know me know I love pink. Well I thought of Laurel because I had asked her the week before if she would help with the portfolio and she had had to cancel. So early Sunday we went up there to see what we could get. It turned out really well, using the selective coloring because there were some parts that just didn't go. We also rode uptown Gastonia and found a few interesting locations as well. I, along with my fellow classmates, agree that Laurel is very photogenic and she was a pleasure to work with.

This first image is the one that I will be using for my portfolio.

Going back home with Jessica and Lacey

On Sunday, myself and Amy took Jessica and Lacey to downtown Cherryville for a portraiture photoshoot. This was the first photoshoot I did with my new camera [40D:)]. This also was the first lesson Amy got in the world of SLR digital photography with my Rebel XTI. Back to the photoshoot, Jessica and Lacey were up for anything and even climbed down under bypass to the railroad tracks. Lacey was especially a trooper, walking around in white pointed-toe pumps...kudos to her. We all braved the heat and I was happy with the images we got. Great models as always!
